From what I can tell from Cornell's "All About Birds" - the apparent tufting of the head feathers is consistent with juvenile plumage. |

That's interesting. I now think you have a strong case for a horizontal flip and slight rotation to enhance flow and direction? |

I am guilty of suggesting something like that? It could be overkill; however, what I would do is go back to the original, clone out or use regenerate AI to remove the blurred flowers. Select the butterfly with the marquee or lasso tool, free transform, use the move tool to move the butterfly, then work around it with a soft brush. Attached is what I did with the jpeg to give you an idea. |

Great capture showing her to be framed within a frame and enjoying the action-packed moment enhanced by the clothing lines and waving hair. You have used front and back light. I am learning from your choice of settings and am amazed by the low shutter speed......? best to avoid too much freezing. I also note image stabilization is aided by upgraded gear? |

Congrats on hitting the exposure right-on resulting in a high key shot. If female it looks like a juvenile according to Birds of the World. The plumage is similar between sexes at all ages. |

The butterfly shows movement and expression in the leg and proboscis positions and is justified in getting the focus of attention. It is complimented by the red flowers but in some ways there is competition. One way to resolve this could be to take out the top right flower, free transform the butterfly and move it down. Then crop up to below the two red flowers to give the butterfly a more central position in the picture. |

Very nice heron portrait with great feather detail and color. and centered in an environmental and story-telling spot. Your treatment in post is excellent. The only point I can find to make is that you have emphasized the reflection on a central spot of water and in contrast the remaining water has almost gone from view. I think the image would improve by bringing back some of the remaining reflection on both sides. |

Impactful image with great diagonals, diamonds and triangles. Your color treatments add warmth to the painted structures and rust. It is busy and slightly distracting at the sides so I would crop in from both sides. My choice would be at the third top bar on the left and at the end of the top railing on the right. |

I omitted information on removing the black stand. I use a combination of generative fill with cloning. Thanks for you kind comments - mostly luck I think. |
