Yes - a winner! I also think the odd lines and objects in the right lower triangle could go? |

I think there is something about the shades of brown and gray in the original that are worth keeping, or in the black and white conversion to bring them out with less contrast. |

Welcome. I like the concept and the way you have balanced the foreground, midground and background with a diagonal flow from right to left. In general I think it is better to allow birds more space ahead than behind to give better direction. Possibly you could flip the image and the birds on a separate frame to maintain the diagonal flow but allowing directional flow of the flock. It doesn't bother me that the geese are not defined since the main intent seems to be the foggy forest. |

Very nice with compositional assets such as the diagonal branch and fir-tree evidence. The black eye on a black face is tricky; perhaps a brush with de-shadow and added white around the edge of the eye could work. Also I think cropping in from the right about an inch or so and above for about half an inch could help to bring out the bird. |

I agree; also I improved the face and eye which I think is key. |

It's great the way you have brought out his sincerity conveyed by the dominant left eye and smile. The colors blend very well with your background. I would not change anything. |

From your story your intent is to portray the interesting fort. Nice double lines! Too bad they are leading to the relatively dark tower and palms. To maintain interest in the fort I would crop in from the right and try to brighten the tower to make it the point of interest. |

The Palm trunks pointing to an oval center filled with palms is central to the wow factor. Its a good concept and interestingly effective at 14mm! I have limited experience with night or blue hour shots but have questions on your exposure estimate. If the camera gave it to you, it based exposure on the brighter lights relative to the darker palm leaves, therefore could it have been a case for combining a double exposure (HDR) as opposed to blowing out the lights with a single exposure? |
