I agree with you and Jim. Here is a cropped in version with the sign taken out. |

Yes, thanks for reminding me about the bird. Stop by and see us, we meet on 2nd and 4th Tuesdays at 7pm and the Cole Center. FYI it so happens that I got a picture of the Scissor-tailed Flycatcher yesterday. |

Thanks Jim for great observations. I agree the steps on the left are too illuminated - an effect of the long exposure of the quite low lighting. I was pleased to get some sunburst from the other lights. I agree the red lights can be removed as can the sign I think. |

Spectacular! Everything complements a a remarkable character including both hands being occupied and contributing to the moment. Red and black with shades of grey are interesting and add to the vivid effect. The two background squares have compositional balance for both color and shape but the argument could be made to go totally black for the wall. |

Great choice of image and progress with post-processing. I like original #2 possibly because blue goes better with yellow. The large flower has a maternal or nurturing appearance with the budding "offspring" giving emotional appeal. This suggests that you could crop in to emphasize the idea. Another way is to darken and blur the background with Lightroom's new masking tool or by use of the brush. Also the stem on the left is not contributing and can either be removed or darkened with a brush to de-emphasize. |

Great processing and choice for black and white. Bringing out the strong lines in B&W makes the image exceptional. |

Yes, I think its a good image. Merits are great colors and compositional diagonals and lines. I'm not sure about the blue from the water; could possibly be adjusted? The other colors are good. It possibly comes under "street" photography more than open color I think, but depends on the intention. |
