2 Jan 23 Comment Good capture of eye expression. I agree with a crop but would leave more chest and and the wild flower/plant on the right and perhaps tilt up slightly. Jan 10th
2 Jan 23 Reply Thanks for your comments. I did use a tripod placed on the dry part of the lake bed after the drought last summer. Jan 10th
2 Jan 23 Reply Yes, I agree. your choice is best. Jan 4th
2 Jan 23 Comment The red lighthouse is well-placed at the 1/3 line and I like the blue background. I would 1) darken the line of stones some more so that the water blends in 2) take out the boats on the left margin ) the fuzzy bush on the right could raise questions so I would find something to clone in. The point of interest is the lighthouse but there are buildings as well making it a combined subject and taking away the effect of the lighthouse, but overall you made the best of what you had. 2 Jan 23 Reply Superb! I like the way the lines of the jetty lead to the point where the horizon changes. Jan 3rd
2 Jan 23 Comment Top Cuba image! It has it all. Your crop to use negative space in front of the pair perfect. Jan 2nd
2 Jan 23 Comment I think you have a really nice minimalistic image of the fascinating scene. The jetty is symmetrical and I think should be put in the center by cropping from the right and also by putting the horizon on the one third line. The green in the water could be taken out with the color mixer in CR and I would give the sky a very slight dehaze. Then a question is - should there be a selective peripheral vignette effect to lead the eye to the center, but all this would be optional of course. Great as is though. Jan 2nd
2 Jan 23 Reply Also I have done the same with the color version intended as support image. Yes I think it makes a difference. Jan 2nd
2 Jan 23 Reply Yes, the wave was a bonus and a selected frame from the burst. It was windy and used the Gitzo. Great idea that the wave is part of the story. I have carefully increased whites and highlights and minimal exposure using a 75% feathered brush in CR. Jan 2nd
