Very interesting challenge and handling of the shot. I found impact was delayed for me because of the dominating fence and sign. How about increasing contrast, slight dehaze and going black and white to bring out the train a bit? |

The focal length was 400mm. I took a few bursts at different angles and during that time the squirrel moved about and took bites out of the acorn, so this shot seemed the best expression of "pride in the catch" as it were. Since Martin Nature Park does not permit dogs the squirrels are much tamer!

Thanks. Background branches in the original were blown-out so here is the revision on Martin's crop. |

Great action shot with detail and portrayal of masterful horsemanship. Did you really need to sharpen that much? My thought is that some action blur can be an asset. Also not sure if you need to crop that much and think slightly more space on top and at the left would bring out the slight turn to the left or rider's right.

Nice image with feeling and great composition. I agree with Martin about the blue sky. In a way it is complementing the roof, so masking to adjust?? Also too much blue in the clouds I think. |

Really great Jim! Outstanding contrast of the Firebush and use of it as a striking foreground. The blue lake on the left is intriguing. |

Thanks. It may have been too close with a 100-400 lens for f/8.
I agree the emphasis should be on the head/acorn/paws. |
