Thanks for the comments. I did take out some brighter white buckets and left the remaining ones because there would be a blank space, so changing the color of the buckets to a dark color could work. Cropping could also solve it but would take out some flower color. |

Very interesting use of Silver Effex. The silverish hue is very nice and the vignette adds to the 3D effect. But it was a very good shot in the first place! |

I agree - great simplification steps with a good result. |

Interesting minimalist style picture of the thrasher. Two points: 1. The sky as one third might look better.
2. A horizontal flip might look stronger leading the eye from the thrasher to the distance
Your histogram probably is predominant for mid-tones, but some might argue for more contrast. |

Interesting view giving the appearance of being taken from the air or a cliff, with transitions from light to dark trees. A question might be if to crop the trees on the right slightly but keeping the road on the third line and the upper end of the s-bend on the right. |

I agree with the consensus to crop, also as you suggest I put the boy in the shade with a circular filter. Perhaps by retaining the color array of the tulips I retain the sense of smallness of the toddler, with his exploration of the tulips, but more in a PJ story mode than a pictorial one. |

Thanks for a great and instructive photo! The color mix, lighting, and timing to catch expression and soul all compound to make it a winner. |

Very interesting story about the building and I have difficulty in finding fault with your excellent work in post. I wonder about the river and if you had considered showing some of the reflection, but I see your lens stops at 28mm wide. |

I like the lines and shape of the wood making it the focus of the image. That suggests to me that it should be about half the image after cropping down to the top of the trees, and then choose between Shirley's and Martin's modifications which I think are both brilliant. |

Thanks. The answer is the tulips are the topic. so I would go with Shirley's crop. I did try a tighter crop for club competition, but think more space is better, but could go either way. |

Thanks for your comment. I like your suggestion because it leaves the emphasis on the tulips and emphasizes the smallness of the boy. |
