Very nice black and white conversion - it brings out the gradations in the shadows traditionally showing the amaryllis "in the shade" and the effex pro filter is a good choice. I agree about giving them some more space. |

Thanks for a great image Hung. The undulating terrain blending from foreground to midground to background gives it perspective and depth. I agree the sky is too bright and does not have much to complement the scene. Like the expert comments I would also want to work on the foreground by using a gradient tool to lighten up slightly and crop. The sky might respond to the tools suggested but not much, so I would replace the sky with luminar 4 and work from there. Using the jpeg, although not ideal, the attached is what I came up with - incidentally the sky is from Oklahoma. |

We see them in Oklahoma, your neighboring state, but not as many this year for some reason. I always thought the flight was from or to New Orleans?
I agree that getting the white to show well is a challenge - the pundits say the morning "golden hour", but that's way to early for me! |

Great image! your selection from the original gives a sense of time and geological forces flowing with the lines. However, seeing the original makes me agree with Karen's comment that it too is very appealing. Thanks for sharing this. |

Thanks for your comment. Reminds me of golf when you buy a set of clubs - very individual and brand-specific - but better to stay consistent. I agree the crop is helpful in attaining a better black and white. |
