2 Aug 19 Comment Thanks for your comments Jerry; I explored Stylise in Photoshop then went to Topaz and came up with the attached, but there were several options - thanks for the idea to make a digital painting. Piers Aug 21st
2 Aug 19 Comment The right gold railing is a great lead-in to the trees, so I would do a horizontal flip. I agree about the city part of the horizon so I would try to clone that part of the railing out (combination of eraser and close stamp). Aug 19th
2 Aug 19 Reply Thanks Shirley....I'll print it for my neighbor! Aug 19th
2 Aug 19 Reply Yes! Now I see leading lines to the central focus in the background. Piers Aug 5th
2 Aug 19 Comment I take that back...you did do some of that in your description and the result is close to optimal.....did you try the graduated filter? Aug 4th
2 Aug 19 Comment Very nice image... I like the way some of the lines on the sprinkler wheels lead to Mt Nebo. For me the sky and clouds are quite bright; so I would play with the graduated filter using the exposure clarity and dehaze sliders. A circular polarizer might have been helpful. Piers Aug 4th
2 Aug 19 Comment Very nice blend of texture, shapes, color saturation and selective focusing; so its hard to recommend cropping, but would prefer the original and come in slightly from the left. Aug 4th
2 Aug 19 Comment The sharp shape and curves of the petal and right-hand leaf with parts of the flower displayed are strong.....I agree about the white on the flower being too strong with a blown-out appearance but it should be recoverable. Nice shot. Piers Aug 4th
2 Aug 19 Comment That's fascinating! The right slope of the mountain leads into the diagonal of the milky way.....there is a single bright star, is that Venus? The two black clouds at the bottom right don't contribute so I might consider taking them out, since that part of the skyline is very busy. Piers Aug 4th
2 Aug 19 Comment I think it would make a great postcard with "On the stump" alone as the title. I would add some contrast for effect. Piers Aug 4th
2 Aug 19 Comment Thanks. I worked on it before the reverse crop (content aware). Piers Aug 4th
