Thanks for the comments. It has a more defined look; did you increase the kelvin scale and contrast or use a preset? It was actually early fall weather. Piers |

Very nice image of the bird taking off with a canopy effect of the foliage above the bird, so I would not crop very much and only bring out the shadows slightly leaving the nice contrast with the whiteness of the Cattle Egret. |

Thanks, it could be special for old-timers! Perhaps the sharpening in overdone slightly. Piers |

Yes. I used mostly clone stamp with variable hardness on the edge of the brush and brush size, but with selection to maintain perspective. |

Very nice image and interesting discussion. Great idea to bring out the topic of interest with the graduated filter - perhaps the eliptical one. |

I totally agree with Shirley and Laurie and with the crop, but take the viewpoint that this wonderful image has become tighter and consequently lacks some of the interesting background in the gym presenting as bokeh, so I have modified it in Photoshop using content aware to increase space above the head and have cloned out the lights on the sides, and have added modest side-crops. |

Spectacular image with great background texture and feel. The original reds were too bright but I think the final image reds appear faded (perhaps intentional), but I would tend to want to bring them out more realistically. Using Lightroom radial tool I set exposure to -0.86, dehaze 32, and red saturation to +32 with feather at 50 but surrounding only the red shirts in the ellipse. |

Perfect crop and great use of Lightroom. I think you have made the background interesting with a back-lit effect. However, I wonder if you tried other options with the whites and highlights, or to make the canopy less bright with the brush, so that the background recedes more. Like this with adjustment brush at -2 and feather at 67%. Piers |
