Beautiful capture of orchids! I love the colors but the lighter area might be toned down a bit.
Not sure about cropping but I might clone out some of the distracting white and blue spots.
Nice outing. Thanks for sharing.

Love what you did with the background! Perfect.
I'm wondering if there are too many overlapping flowers. Or cropping and editing to just 3 as odd numbers are more interesting.
Wonder about rotating the stem post processing to a 45 degree angle. It might add more visual movement. Just a thought.
Pretty. |

With macro, a tripod is critical. I find focusing in macro a challenge as there are soft areas unless you do focus stacking. Unless of course, there is one interesting spot on which to focus. Just depends on what you want!
I love the snow bubbles in the original photo which I'm not sure translates with the color change. Somehow, the part encased in snow isn't as evident. Not sure if this is a result of focus or color change. Cool idea.
It's always fun to play with a new lens. Keep on playing. I look forward to seeing more! |

Wow, focus stacking. Great that you thought about doing that at the time. I'd have been happy with a 10x19 cutting out the trees all together. Their color is uneven to me and distracting.
Beautiful photo. |

Good light. Good shoulder position. Think he probably had one foot closer to you than the other. Good full face portrait. I don't know if you positioned him against that wall but it is perfect background. Hat brim doesn't shade his face that much.
Might have cropped 8x10 up to pocket putting right eye in 3rd.
I know you didn't have much to do with that stray hair strand but it is distracting to me.
Just a thought. Depends on what you wanted to capture.
