Great catch light in his eye.
I agree that most of the detail in the feathers has been lost. Wonder what program you used? I seem to remember you using Topaz? No?
Good gravy! You have KING PARROTS?!? Lucky you. What seed? Never mind, I'm in Indiana. So, was this hand held or on a tripod at 400mm?
I'm curious. Are those blue feathers in the lower right corner? I agree with Jon that I'd like to see a bit more tail feather! Ha Ha

I first noticed the complimentary colors of blue and yellow. That color combination, to me, speaks high energy rather than a quiet spot. So, I played with the color harmony and reduced the brilliance. The dark sky is moody to me and with the reduction of brilliance in the reeds, it still retains it's moodiness.
It's nice to have a lake around your area. Makes for very comforting walks.

Got ya a catch light!
I'm kinda distracted by the white stuff...
Sweet little flower on the right bottom edge.
Interesting and educational shot. |

Hum. I am immediately drawn to the little dark tree almost in the middle. I wonder what a crop of 10x16 would do so I tried it. Hum.
I also did an auto adjust in Luminar Neo. Not sure that is any better.
Cool shot of the reflection. Such a vast space to bring into perspective.
I deferred to others on settings and time of day. |

I played with a crop and some facial enhancements using Luminar Neo. It has a face brighten features as well as a little sharpening. I also reduced the reflection on her nose as that was distracting to me.
Her eyes looked really white to me but I normally would have brightened them anyway.
The crop puts her mouth in a third point and her noise along that right third line.
Fun shot. I wonder what a triptych of the various actors would show. |

Wow! Love this and all the work you did to pull this together but it really works for me.
I like how I did a right to left scan right to the intake. Like the contrast of curves and angles. The conversion to BW really is outstanding to me.
I wish I knew how to use those control points better. I know they are there but just haven't played with them. Great job. |

It's been a couple of years but I think that bright spot might be a bounce of light from his glasses. Maybe. |
