What a great catch! Easier to do when pulling a frame from a video but still takes time to find that perfect frame.
The edits you have done make it a much better photo.
What about cropping so that his eye on the left is in the sweet third spot? That would take care of the left side.
Definitely looks like he has personality! |

I love the bud and the composition.
Not sure how to tone down that bright spot that others are referencing.
Such a fun photographic adventure. The orchids really pop against the dark background.

The foreshortening seems to give a stronger eye movement from lower left to the top of the mountain right. Also the light moves from lighter to darker along this line.
Not sure if the dark shadowed area could have more contrast continuing the texture along the line. Or maybe more contrast in the far right hill.
As always, love your black and white conversions. |

Really like this idea. The shot is fun in color too but understand you want to do a series. I did play with it based on what others said about the base and print.
I did a selective focus and vignette. Not sure I like it any better. I did straighten the photo around the post.
There is some pretty cool stuff in the background. What is that box to the right? It looks old too.
So, being late to the party, here is my take.
Great subject and idea. |

Love this textured black and white. The contrast of the s, circles and straight lines are exquisite.
Very nice conversion and post processing.

I'm really late to the discussion. I like the conversion and the suggested cropping.
The first statute really pops in the black white.
I like the diagonal leading line formed by the top of the statue heads. |
