Totally agree about keeping "place". I might have cropped out the lady and child on the left and kept the right "place". You still would have an environmental portrait.
Very nice eye contact with observer/photographer. |

I love the sky but understand what Renee is saying. Not that the sky needs toned down but I think there is too much magenta in the foreground. But I'm just learning about color balancing so take it with a grain of salt.
Beautiful sky even if there wasn't snow. |

I thought about cropping out the red at the bottom. |

Do you use a ring light with your Olympus lens? If so what size up step adaptor do you use? Would a 46 work?

This is such a delightful giggle for me. Love the capture. Good background swap. Very nice how her face brightened out in post processing. Was that done by curves? Still learning about those.
And, of course, I love the cropping. |

Oh, the colors are fabulous combos. Love the rust and agree that it could be increased in detail.
Maybe a sky replacement that has different clouds? I'm not sure I would like to crop the sky out as it adds climate for me.
Love the overlap contrasting colors. Definitely tells a story. |

Love the creativity here. Lucky you on the snowfall. We maybe got enough to cover the grass. No sledding here. sob.
Did you get any side or 45 degree shots? Would be a fun diptych.
Hope you blew your club away with this fun, creative shot. |

Paris. Wow. On New Years Eve. Wow. Pretty steady hand there among all those happy cell phone photographers.
Very nice post processing. No blow out which happens sometimes with fireworks.
Might have been fun to see if that large cloned out cell phone could have the scene layered onto it. Or not. Just a giggle. |

I did use my mirrorless Lumix Gh4 and moved it in and out for this photo. No tripod but camera has a great in body anti shake.
I do play with aa a platypod sometimes on smaller items and move adjustment ring.
My camera has a post focus which takes multiple shots via movie (?) at different focus spots and then you save selected focus areas. I use auto focus on those.
My new macro lens is an Olympus 60 mm 1:28. Manual said not to use autofocus as it mess with the focus. So sometimes I do and sometimes I don't autofocus.
Had a funny thing happen using the post focus where I got gray vertical stripes on it and on a subsequent single shot. Only thing I can think is that I had a filter on that rotated. Weird and not consistent. |

I think I stacked ten images. Thanks. Really not sure what I'm doing yet. Steep learning curve. |
