Oh, so happy you had time to play! Thank you.
Great eye on the red lower left corner. Yup, needs to go.
I don't use Photoshop but Paintshop which is very similar. I have never played with curves or level adjustments. I am eager to learn though. Seems like you did localized adjustments to exclude the wall which I'll need to see if I can duplicate. I did try a little dodging on the man but didn't think about darkening the area around him. Interesting. So the same effect can be done with curves? Hum, curves seems like such an abyss to me but I'll try.
Fabulous feedback. Now, I just need to see if I can duplicate it. Thank you. |

Which blue sky? Clouds or not? And thank you. Still needs work but workable I think. |

I love that the lines of the clouds line up with the curves in the river. It just seems to carry the photo.
I agree that it is so hard to capture the grandeur of our national parks.
I love the clarity of the rock face.
Not sure how I feel about the haze at the far end of the valley.
I like the left to right diagonal line of the mountain tops.
Oh, to travel again. Thanks for sharing. |

I like the conversion to black and white. I would like to see it in a different black and white conversion though. The grayness of this doesn't seem to convey the coldness to me.
I love the story of the couple and their dog. I wonder what it would be like if cropped to a 16x10 or 16x9 to focus more on the story and less on the environment.
I like that the geese (?) were captured.

Good one! Definitely need to have the correct mixture with the right temperature.
Great job. I just wish our weather would cooperate so I could try it.
Very, very nice capture as it had to be quick. The crystals can form so rapidly. |

This looks like a Monet painting to me. Love the gentleness of this photo.

I am late to this discussion but I agree with Jon about the second of your 2 versions. I also agree and see what is distracting Renee. There is a tree almost on the left third vertical line. At first glance, it almost looks like a crease in the photo because the trunk color is so white against the green foliage.
I like the photo stacking. How much difference between photo stacking and a long term exposure using filters on the water's movement? Haven't tried either, inquiring minds want to know.
Thanks for sharing a great photo.

Grr, mother board on my "new" new computer from October died. grr.
So, this is what I've done so far. I prefer just the color adjustment but could replace the sky via a mask.
The sharpening is a totally different challenge. Tried brush sharpening. I'll need to play with what other programs offer but just haven't had the time.
Thanks for the feedback. As always, appreciated. |
