I like the intensity of the horse trotting. Coat is shiny, head is down and the gallop is going.
I might have flipped the photo as to gain left to right movement. Like the background blur. Post processing can add light to the jockey's face.
Fun to go back and look at last year's photos. |

What an awesome photo feel! I like the yellow leaves, the color picked up by the rainbow and then to the lower right yellow leaves. Like the portrait orientation.
Lucky you to have such a beautiful local garden. I'll be interested to see what winter photos are to come. |

Nice catch and yes, I like the placement of the elk.
The lighting is a challenge as Jon points out to us.
I played with a square crop. You still get some of the beautiful red foliage but it does not overwhelm the photo with brightness. The elk appears larger in relation to the foliage and becomes more a focus point.
An exciting catch and glad you had the opportunity to get it. Congratulations. |

Love the double exposure feature in the camera. Just this summer I discovered it. However, you have surpassed anything I did. I love this result. Very nice. |

Very cool shot. I had to google Pine Martin as I was unfamiliar with this animal. Looks like the European Pine Martin were considered endangered but making a comeback now. So informative and exciting to capture a shot of this animal.
I agree with Renee that a left crop to delete the white spots would be good. I would add that the rocks/foreground be toned down a bit. I find it competing with my attention of his face and chest coloring. Another thought might a portrait ccrop so that the dip in the rock accents his face.
Thank you for sharing this exciting shot. |

Yes, I agree that a higher moon would be better. I should have thought about that. Learning so much with this stay at home photography. Very different than capturing a gorgeous landscape, culture of people or their flora and fauna. |

Grrr. I looked at this on my cell phone. It definitely did not correct the outline even though it did in my editing program. Now what's up with that? |

Oh, dang...you are right...thought I'd done that but maybe not on the one I uploaded. Like I said in the into, it would have been sooooo much better to have used layers. |
