OMGosh! That is the clearest explanation I've ever heard. Let me guess, a previous teacher? (I did check your bio-- Thank you) I also get confused with those "'" signs on shutter speed compared to the whole numbers..Is that a fraction/ratio thing also? |

I think the title says snow but Jan is right on second glance. It could be sand. However, the gloves and boots align with snow. On re-reading your into, I noted that the "snow" was man made. The artificial snow might be the snag when our vision expects it to align with real snow. Real snow would have photographic differently I think or not.
You did a great job at capturing excitement. I might have brightened up the face on the right. She is caught in shadow. This looks like a fun adventure which I hope can be repeated soon. |

Lucky you for being able to get out and take some photos. I'm still staying at home as our state is a "hot spot". I hope this represents how I will feel when I "emerge". It beautifully reflects the shadowy depths from which it comes.
I might have edited out the faint light in the upper left corner and the gunk on the right border above lower leaf between the two stems. Or not. Maybe even edited out the thick stems under the shadow or not. I love the diagonal lines from under the shadow to the upper leaf. That's the movement I like. Very pretty. Thanks for sharing. |

At first I agreed with Jan about looking at an abstract. However, I saw your title which clarified it for me. I love the fine detail, the clear eye and the water droplets. I have many duck photographers in my local group so this duck was easy to recognize. I enjoy having to look at a photo twice which is what this did for me. Thank you. |

My eye goes out the door to the fields, the beautiful lavender fields. I have never seen a still so this is an interesting photo to me. Cropping might direct my eye more to the connection between the still and the field as well as with a title connection. What is distracting to me is the bright green grass and dirt at the door. Maybe toning that down would help but I'd leave the lavender alone. I agree that the top part of the photo doesn't add much. I love the copper and the thought. |

Wow! The post processing changed the photo dramatically moving the light away from the Milky Way. Amazing that the light almost parallels it. The stacking reduced the noise. more stars visible. I am always amazed by Milky Way shots. Nicely done. |

It's always fun to look at a photo and discover something you had not noticed. Bee coming in for landing...may"bee" trying a different crop to get bee in tighter or not so much of the flower. Fun. |

Title didn't upload I guess. I had called it Carry On. Or I'm open to other suggestions. Seems to be some discussion about this macro thing. I agree with you that this is not a macro. I see it as more of a close up or still life. |
