Shoot, wish I'd read "lighter". I played with it and came up with this. Too dark still Jon. |

Wow! That's black. It's a little too overpowering for me. Now it looks like a cutout.
I'll defer to others but I bet you could use a mask to change the background so the tone or structure is different from the horses.

oooh, Judge fodder? Funny but not. I agree the color photo is too blue, especially his shirt. For me, the color photo focuses my eye on just the man. In the black and white, I see the man WITH his team. So, if doing black and white, what would happen if you used Silver Effects Pro in the NIK collection?
I'm amazed that you were "allowed" to photograph him. The Amish around my area don't like their photos taken.
Overall, I like the subject. Good luck on the competition. |

Cute picture with her umbrella. I like the background darkened also and the man gone.
Thanks Jon on how to do it better. Masking and cloning are challenging.
Her intensity shows in this photo. |

Wow, very nice and amazing shot under the conditions.
Only thing I might suggest is to smooth her facial skin. However, she is great without it. |

Like it, especially the laser light from the sword!
I'm not sure about straightening it. I think it might lose some of the "largeness grandeur". But what do I know.
Like the clouds,too. |
