This is a really good Nature shot: one apparently trying to swallow, and the other escaping with the meal. Both are in focus which makes this photo so good. I assume you were shooting in burst mode with your D750. What do you mean by FL-300? Is that what you believe the focal length is after cropping? |

Walt - Having taken a few MW shots I am definitely jealous. I am surprised by the quality of the stars outside of the MW; no evidence of coma, even with a zoom lens. This is the first photo I have seen using a zoom. I think it speaks well of the Nikon 850.
The composition and PP are spot on. I do think you didn't need to crop the MW on the top; also I think the galactic center could have been teased out more. But as I said, I am jealous. Kent

Bruce, this is a great capture. The posture of each compliments the other, making for an interesting, impactful photograph. If you were to submit this in a competition for Nature, what would be the story line? Kent
