Mary,
Good photo. Nicely framed. The bark of the tree appears a little bright, almost as though there is a sheen on it which distracts from the subject. Also, what do you mean by "structure"?

A perfect image! Great action and great composition. Cracks in the ice lead to the dogs; one of the harness lines mirrors the line of sight between to the two combatants, and the white eye is level with the snow atop the river bank, again leading one's eye to the dog. I don't think a vignette is needed for guiding one's eye. All the elements pull one into the action in the photo. Good PP for lightning the shadows but still keeping the tonal range realistic. |

Abhijeet, I agree with Isaac's comments regarding reflection and color saturation. I don't think a vignette is needed given the size of the subject and the darkness already present in the upper corners. Like Vic, I am envious of your opportunity to photograph such creatures. As for me, I have ducks. |

Thanks Isaac. This is really a clear example of when a vignette adds value. I had not thought of it. |
