Good points, Alan. The yellow spot is the bug the bird had just grabbed. I suppose I should have cloned it out, but it was part of the scene I captured. I hadn't considered the birds in the background as breaking the scene until you mentioned it. Thanks for the feedback. |

I see a little bit of Salvador Dali in your skeleton. The title matches the image. Overall I like the painterly feel of the image. I think it brings out the fine hairy spikes of the cactus.
I agree with Aavo that the upper part of the skeleton is a bit too bright--the skull looks like it might be blown out. |

Phillipa, if I didn't know better I might think you were a proud grandparent of this baby. I think you did a great job of using SuperimposeX to add interest to the image. I agree with Aavo about the left cheek of the baby. Your "original 3" image shows how much the lines distort the face in that area.
I love the color harmony you got around the subject. Well done. I can't wait to see more things you do with SuperimposeX. |

I like the composition on this a lot. I agree with Phillipa that the silhouettes look a bit ragged, but the overall images works.
I think you could play with the cast shadows a bit. They seem a bit too bright to my eye, but that is a personal choice.
Nicely done, and the amount of work you did pays off. |

Peggy, I love it. It was a tough set of images to blend, but you did a good job. I especially think the time you spent working on the background through the box paid off handsomely.
I love your idea of using plants for the judges. Your imagination juices were in full flow with this one. |

Welcome to the group, Alan. I like your image and your write-up. There is a lot going on in the image and it is fun to run the eye around and pick up the various incongruities. You did a great job on making the wings on the statue look like they belong to her.
One thing that bothers my eye is the lack of a shadow on the easel. You have a very distinct shadow on the brush and I would like to have had the effect carried on to the easel. Realistic shadows in a composite are always tough when you have light coming from various sources and directions.
Keep up the great work. I can't wait to see more of your work.
