Betty, I have been to the Ashmolean, and I love their Egyptian collection. I think you did an admirable job of combining so many images into an interesting collage. At first glance I thought you should remove the photographer, but I actually think he makes the scene work. I do think I would try to clone out the legs of the figure behind the Horus statue on the far left if possible, but that is a quibble. |

Phillipa, this may be my favorite piece of your work to date. This is just beautifully done. I wouldn't change a thing. |

Nicely done Aavo. I think you did a great job getting things into the right size to work together. I would move the lady down just a bit to ground her. She seems to be floating above the water. I would also suggest trying to get the same light on the back of the wolf that you have on the swans. They were obviously shot in the late afternoon and have a very warm tone, but the wolf feels a bit cool to me. Overall this is an outstanding image and has a great story to it. |

What a fun image, and I'm sure the journey was the best part of getting to it. The only critique I would give is that the tonal value and sharpness of the baby/balloons and the background seem too different. The baby/ballooons have a certain shine that is not present in the background image. You might try a color look-up table. If you aren't familiar with it, you can find it under your adjustment layers icon. It will help pull all the colors together. Do a Ctrl-Alt-Shift-e to get snapshot of your final image and then try putting the color lookup table adjustment on that layer.
I think you did a great job on extracting the balloons from the background. |
