Charles, I love the moodiness of this image! I think the story with the statue's back facing us, it that he/she has a long road ahead. This image causes us to think and wonder, which is a great tribute to your eye. I tried a slightly different crop that includes a bit more of the grass (which a desaturated a bit)because I feel that this gives the monument base something to sit on. I also think that leaving the sky provides us with a sense of how long the journey ahead is. Finally, I also cloned out the bit of dark foliage in the right side. |

This is definitely a very interesting story telling image! I think the struggle is to both tell the story and limit distractions of the main subject. I think your cropping is spot on as is capturing the expression on the main character's face. I am wondering is blurring the background a bit and desaturate the background colors would improve this capture. |

This image was taken at the Namaste Indian Cultural Festival in Pompano Beach, Florida. It was my first time going to this festival but found it to be a great event that included many of dancers, art items and food. I did not know this dancer but loved her grace and poise. I found out that this is one of the largest festivals that take place each year in the month of February. I do plan to attend again next year. |

This image is a WOW image! You did a great job in post process cleaning up the distracting elements. Nothing in the image is blown out and the tentacles really anchor the image. I was wondering what the object was in the mid left tentacle. Could that be a snail that may provide us with an idea of the size of this jellyfish? |

Wonderful capture of the emotion and passion of this Baul singer. His facial expression and open arms along with the garment he is wearing give us a sense of being there. You did well with toning down the background while keeping providing us with a sense of nature. My only suggestion would be to add a vignette much like what we see in the top right corner. I think it will strengthen our focus on the singer. |
