Charles, how wonderful to be able to capture both father and son in the same image! I do agree that the white vignette is too strong and detracts from the intention of the image. I worked the image between Photoshop and Nic and was able to reduce the amount of red in your original. |

Wonderful image! I think the strength of this images comes from both the composition as well as the variety of textures within the image. Using the available light was a great way of evening out the lighting of the wall throughout the image. I also feel that the green tree gives us a pop of color to focus on. |

Joan, this is an amazing capture! Your processing really brings out the both the riders and the details of the structure. I think having the people in the image also allows us to get a sense of the scale of this roller coaster. Lovely to look at but agree with not going for a ride. |

Well worth the early out of bed decision. The softness of the sunrise is the perfect contrast to the sharpness of the ship and opera house. The lines made by the gentle waves act as perfect leading lines for this capture. |

This is a sharp, powerful image, capturing the emotion of the moment and you did a good job in post processing. I do agree with Charles' concern and agree that it would be an easy fix and bring this image to the next level. |

Thanks Joan for agreeing on how difficult it is to photograph with all of the distraction and lighting against you. |
