Barath, I agree with the comments and suggestions already provided. I feel that one of the strengths of this image are all the people almost silhouetted in the foreground. They provide us both with a sense of place and how important this festival is to them. |

Charles, welcome to our group! In looking at both your original and edited image, in my opinion your original image gives me a sense what you fell in love with and attempted to capture that morning. The colors are are just beautiful, especially the sky. You were able to capture lots of detail in the sky and with a few adjustments, it can really come to life. What I like about the original are the wonderful leading lines that seem to connect both of the rock formations that you included. I feel that the interest in the rock formations comes from both the color and texture thay provide for the viewer. I did some adjusting to your original that hopefully you will find some merit in. I think I made the greens much too intense but hopefully you will get the idea of what I was going for. |

Joan, this type of venue and photographing cars was all new to me. I actually did not know what to expect but I learned a lot about what to look for to avoid our Florida sun blowing out colors. Thanks! |

Thank you Charles! This was my first experience with this type of event. I am glad I went and will definitely will go back again next year. Our strong Florida sun makes it very challenging but I learned that seeking out cars that where parked under trees made it easier to handle the light. |

Thanks Barath! Unfortunately I did not take a picture of the entire car. There where so many cars at this event, I just focused on what I thought were interesting features. |

Dr. Nair, great capture of the culture in Laos! Colors and clarity of the image a spot on. Your cropping allows us to focus on these young boys and the moment. Well done! |

Joan, just lovely! You have captured the grace and beauty of the lilies. I think what you lost in processing was the contrast between the lily pads and the water which appears in the original. I am wondering if making more of a distinction between the two would eliminate some of the busyness in the processed image. Also, I think a bit of clean up of distracting twigs etc. would help. The HDR really allows the lilies and pads to pop. |
