16 May 24 Comment Renee, GREAT image. I love the different textures and the softness of the background. The colors of this image really make it work. My few suggestions would be a slightly different crop so that the bird does not appear so centered on the page. I also feel that more needs to be done with the eye, which is the soul of every living creature. Here are my feeble attempts to illustrate. May 27th

16 May 24 Comment Joan, I can not believe the texture you captured in this image! Although the black and white version is interesting, I think original color image allows the bird to really pop. I also think that including a bit of the wings would give us a different texture and add interest. Happy birthday... What a great gift your new camera is! May 3rd

Can you tell us about your set up to take this image as well as more about the post processing steps you took to achieve the final image? The colors, patterns and shapes all work very well together. Post processing was done well although there is still a bit of a hot spot on the rump of the bull on the right, you captured the vivid colors well. What I like about your original image is seeing the man standing on the left. Seeing him truly gives us a feel for how truly huge these bulls are. May 3rd
