Thanks for your comments Renee. I think I will try to get the very front in total focus and then less focused as you move back in the image. I will have to do some studying to figure out how to do this...wish me luck! |

Joan, OK now I must put Bruges on my "someday travel list"! In looking at your original, I really think you could consider making two images in this photo. One of the entire street that shows us the charm of the setting with very little additional cropping and the other in your Weary in Bruges man. If this story is about the man, I do think you may need some additional cropping, contrast and a vignette. |

Water, it doesn't appear to me that your original and final image are the same image. I too like the original better because it captures more diversity in the landscape (foreground, middle ground and background). I think Joan has done a good job of capturing the intensity of the wild flowers. I also agree with Mohanan's suggestion to crop more of the sky. |

Renee, well done! I do like Dr. Nair's version where the perspective is corrected and further revisions are made for handling the blown out areas. I would also suggest toning down the light rectangle (table?) in the front and adding a light vignette. |

What a beautiful image! Her costume and the position of her face work well. Her eyes seem to tell her story. There are somethings about the original that I like better. In your post processing I feel that her face has taken on too many red highlights where in the original the background and her face coloring are less saturated and serene. You may also want to consider trying to tone down the stone line that goes from the back of her head to the front of her face. This is truly an exceptional image. Please consider my comments suggestions to consider to bring it to the next level. |

Great image! You certainly captured the menacing look of this beetle. Composition and coloring are great. I would suggest you try shooting at f5.6 - f8.00 to help get more of the body in focus. |

Thanks, you are absolutely right about needing more focus near the feet, now that I am looking at it on-line, I can see my error. |
