Thanks for your input Renee! I definitely need to work further on this image. I am thinking that just a pure black & white might be the best way to go. Hopefully I can figure out a way to better balance the square building in the front or if I have enough pixels, crop so that the image it just the Empire State Building as the only focus point. Yes, observation towers do limit angles... |

Darlene, unfortunately I do not have other shots of this skyline to work with. Thanks for your input. I will continue to work on this image to see if I can obtain better results. |

Walter, you are truly mastering the art of "birds in flight" photography! Sharp, clear, clean.... well done in post processing. I agree that more room is needed in front of the bird. |

Bogdan, just when I thought you could not eek out any more beauty of this church you have done so in this minimalist version. For me, it tells the story of perfect peace and serenity. Thank you for sharing! |

Darlene, although I think the black & white version of your image works, for me, the beauty of your original is in what caught your eye in the first place, the beautiful colors and patterns of the sky... WOW, that is where. your story is. I've taken the liberty to try another approach, simplifying the land while accenting the beauty of the sky. I know that my version is far from perfect, but I am hoping that it inspires you to find a way to make. the beautiful colors of the original work. |

Joan, what a great image! Your processing is spot on. To me, I would like to make this 3 individual panels hung side by side that would really allow us to "see" the reflections. This is what an individual panel might look like... |

Very sharp and clear image. I think your work with the lighting enhanced the image. I do agree with Mohanan about the lines in the background being distracting. The next time you set up a still life, consider placing a background cardboard behind what you are shooting. The foam board in Dollar Tree works well and you can add color if you choose to. |

This is a striking image. Black & white really brings out details in the skin. The eyes really tell the story of someone deep in thought. My only suggestion would be to eliminate the brighter white background surrounding the nose nose ring. Your chose of cropping makes this a powerful image. |

Thanks for the suggestions Joan. I am now wondering it black & white would be more striking and eliminate the noise. I want to have the image printed so I am really trying to get it right. |
