Mohanan, I think the story in this image it about these two trees and how one has fallen in the other's arms. Some ideas of what you may consider: turning this into a black and white image. De-emphasize the rock formation in the back (maybe by blurring) Adjusting the crop to make it all about the trees. Adding texture to the trees. A possible title would be: Falling for You |

Bud, thank you so much for your comments. I do have newly found passion for catering portraits. I hope to take the next few years to really explore this type of photography. Any suggestions on were to begin? |

Kathleen, great capture! The bears are quite sharp. Consider bringing down the highlights and adding a vignette. |

Walter, I think you have the possibility of several strong images in this photo. The way my eye continually moves from one bird to another without knowing what is the focus of the image. Consider eliminating some of the distractions with cropping or removing some of the birds. You also may want to crop to make it a narrow panoramic all about flight. You may also want to consider increasing the contrast. |

Great composition! I think you really captured the essence of speed and elements of danger in this image. It is effective as an abstract. I think the way you brightened the image without blowing out the whites really give the viewer a sense of being there. |

Joan, GREAT image! You have the ability to look beyond what might have been your original purpose in taking an image and finding a way to move it to a much higher level. The "almost silhouette" really works in this image. |

Lance, thank you for taking the time to comment on your image and sharing the work of Randy Bacon. I had not heard of his work but did go to his website to look at his images. I was inspired by his work. Yes, to me they speak to the heart and soul of those he photographs. It is not often that an amateur photographer like myself captures that moment that allows them to look beyond the surface of a person. I do think your black and white revisions are another way to capture the essence of this young man. Thank you for sharing them with me. |

Stephen, thank you for your comment about the Portrait Lighting in the original. I think when I explored the Nic Collection I felt like the texture and character of the young man, especially around the eyes, really came to life. |
