Yes, this image was taken in a zoo like setting near my home. I do think seeing them in the wild would be quite exciting. Having more of the neck included would definitely improved this image. I will be mindful of that on my next flamingo shoot. |

Great capture.... I think the expression on the face of the descending jumper is clear, sharp and says it all... Thanks for sharing! |

Walter, yes these birds are VERY fast moving. I am wondering if you set your camera on multiple images and panned to try to keep up with the movements. |

Bud, this is a GREAT image! Love the sharpness, vivid colors and most of all the reflections. My only minor suggestion beyond toning down the greens would be to crop off about half of the foliage at the top, a bit at the bottom and vignette. This is such a beautiful image and it sounds like a rare moment when everything comes together so that you can capture it.... It is sharp, well lite and well handled. I do like the center of the flower in the image better than your edited image because it gives us more texture and depth. Thanks for providing the scientific name for this flower. I will be sure to look it up to learn more about it. |

Kathleen, what an incredible capture! Clear, sharp and full of action. In looking closer at the original, I think it might have been taken seconds after the image you submitted. For me, the original is even better than what you submitted because it gives the wolf more room in the front to leap. I also like the amount/ feel of water surrounding him. It is crisp, and contains beautiful silvery reflections. I'm sure each time you view this images, you relieve this incredible moment. Thanks for sharing it with us! |

Joan, this is a GREAT image! I think your handling of it really makes it work. To me, it is all about leading lines, parallels lines, parallels lines, parallels lines and contrast of colors. I think he fact that the buildings are static and the flags are in movement also adds to the greatness of this image. Can't believe it is an iPhone shot.... I continue to struggle with taking quality images with mine. |
