For a phone capture, you did a great job of capturing the action of this bird. Did you know that you can add space in front by using the crop tool to expand outside of the image. Once that is done, you can clone in additional space. I do like the coloring on the original more that your edited which seems a bit too saturated for me. Removing and replacing part of an image take a lot of experimenting and practice. Thanks for sharing! |

I think you are on the right track in capturing this kayaker. For using a shutter speed of 1/80 you did a great job in capturing the rider while softening the water. I would suggest that you try to achieve a more realistic skin tone as well as using a longer, narrower crop. The story is in man verses water. Allowing us to gain a better sense of where he is headed will help tell that story. |

Joan, I am wondering is we really have two stories here, one about the curve of the water and the other about how colorful the kayak and man appear. I am wondering is converting to black and white with only the kayak/man in color would help. I also feel that cropping would add to this image. The beauty is in the flowing water. Although the sky has a few interesting clouds, they do not hold the beauty of the flowing water lines that you captured so well. |

Bunny, I just love this image. It is delicate in feel, bold in color and the snapdragons are well focused. I really think the play of light on the flowers is part of what makes this image so powerful. WELL DONE! |

Wow, what a fun and creative task you have been charged with! I do feel that the color and effect of the background is spot on. The image of the man is a bit confusing to me. Is he facing us or are we seeing his back? If it is his back, I don't think having a face adds to the image. I also feel that the left side of the man's image works but on the right side the cut off line of the elbow lacks the fluidity we see on the left. Finally, I think you may want to reconsider your font choice and color. If these are programs to be printed, the gold letter color may wash out. Would love to see the final project. |
