16 Oct 18 Comment Great suggests Joan! Thank you.... Yes, in looking at this image the vignette is way too dark. I've just moved and unfortunately can not put my hands on my external drive that holds the original. When my external hard drive finds me, I will try the adjustments you suggested. Oct 8th
16 Oct 18 Comment I feel it is the simplicity and tranquility of this setting that makes it such a great image. Your enhancements allow us to really see the character of the wood on both boats. I do agree that I could like to see green in the mountains and countryside a bit toned down. The current brightness and over saturation of the background seems to fight the simplicity of the color and character of the boats. Oct 8th
16 Oct 18 Comment It is exciting when we can capture birds doing more than sitting in the water. You did a great job of capturing the moment just before touchdown. You can indeed see the reflection.

I agree with Joan that the colors are a bit too saturated and that using a horizontal crop would help both with composition and reducing the number of pixels that are deleted. I would also like to suggest that you use a vignette which helps us keep our eye on the star of the image, the mallard. 		Oct 8th
16 Oct 18 Comment Joan, I feel that you did a wonderful job of capturing the mood of this part of the our country. Even the fact that there is a slight movement in the grass closest to the bottom of the image adds to the mood. The adjustments you made prior to covering to black and white add to the overall feel of the picture. If anything, I might suggest that you flip to image so that the weighed portion is to the right. Also might be sure that the second fence post is not perfectly centered. Thanks for sharing this image!
