Great suggestion Larry. The vignette really adds to the image. I also considered making the entire image have a faded quality but since I am struggling every step of the way learning Photoshop, it was not possible at this time. I am hoping that come the new year I can really dive into learning it. Do you have any suggests about materials I can use to help me learn more about this monster program? |

Larry, what an interesting building... There seems to be no rhyme or reason to where the windows are placed which makes all the more unique. Thanks for sharing it with us. I can see why you felt compelled to photograph it.
Have a WONDER-FILLED holiday! |

Larry, what great colors and design! I love the play of light and shadows as your eye moves across this image. I am amazed by the architect's use of pattern in this design. Can you show us the original so we can get a better sense of where this great image started from? |

Pat, I disagree with your statement: "you can usually get at least one good shot of a moving sports scene". I have been taking images like this at my grandchildren sporting event and have rarely captured what you where able to capture here.... WELL DONE!!!! Your images has it all: great action, a critical moment that tells a story and great color. Thanks for sharing....

It definitely holds my interest! WOW what I great experiment. The only thing I would be mindful of the placement of the fork on the right. I would like to see it with a bit of the background showing (like the one on the left) so that it provides more overall symmetry to the design. I think the color is perfect for the effect you were going for. You definitely met and exceeded your goal.

Eleanor, I can see why you were drawn to capture this doorway. It is a wonderful old door full of character and begging to have its story told. I am a bit bothered by the branch that seems to come out of nowhere and interrupts the design. Perhaps the story can be better told by cropping the image. I look forward to seeing the other images you took.
Happy holidays to you too!

What I simple but powerful image you created! I think it is strengthen by the fact that the person is not looking directly into the camera but truly appears to be meditating. The only thing I would love to have seen is the subject barefoot. Catching the light as it bends and waves also adds to the overall design. Well done! |
