In the mushroom on the left, you captured incredible detail. The ridges of the underside are a great contrast to the softness of the top. The color, light and the way the moss reflects on the underside of the ridges adds strength to the image. Although the mushroom on the right is a beautifully soft and adds a pop of yellow, without a third mushroom, it keeps the image from feeling balanced. I would either add a third mushroom of just have the one, which on its own is a strong image. |

This is a great image. I love the color. I love the sense of movement. I love how I am led from where you eye enters down the beach. Just curious: Did you make any images that are in the landscape format? What difference did it make to your sense of movement? |

I LOVE the effect of movement and color you created in this image. I also feel that it comes across too strong with diagonal lines. I might try cropping to a square eliminating the flower all the way to the left which is brighter than the others and shows less movement. Once I had it in the square, I might add additional flowers to further eliminate the strong diagonal. |

This image gives a wonderful sense of flow from where you are to where you are heading. I am thinking that you might want to crop the right to eliminate the dark shadows found in the trees there. The darkness on the left trees provide a wonderful outline of the pines but on the right, the shadows seem to detract from the all over image. The challenge will be not to have the large rock end up smack dab in the center. I would also love to see what this image looks like in black and white. The variety of textures might just make it a perfect B&W image. |

I love the color coming down from the top of the image... it gives us a hint of where they are heading however I wish that there were more space in front of the boat than there is in the back. I feel it would add to the sense that man and boy are moving forward to a future adventure. After that, I might try flipping the image so that the they are heading from lower right to left. |

WOW...great image Howard! Very sharp and clear. Great detail in both the feet and branch as well as of the birds body. I agree with Grace, you may want to back it out a bit. I am also wondering if the color might be a bit over saturated. Thanks for including the nest in the "original" box, it is quite fascinating. |
