I'm going to Grand Canyon and the surrounding areas the first week of April, and this photo really gives me some idea what to look out for in terms of location, atmospheric condition and composition.

There are lots of improvments in this photo from its original, which is an outstanding effort to resurrect lost details and dull or dark colors! In the end, it results in a more balanced composition and shows the various elements (the hills, vegetation, cloud, moon, etc...)characteristic of their surroundings. |

Really nice capture of the Head in early morning. What interests me most is the choice of perspective! I took some photos of the lighthouse before, usually from the left or right of the structure, never in the same positio as in this image! The morning sun light lit up the scene and attracts my eyes to the flag pole which is a distraction. I do not suggest cloning out the flag pole, but at the same time, don't know what to do with this!

Thank you all for your comments and suggestions. I have had a hard time making decision with regards to the surroundings of the pond. Your observations help make it easier for me to improve this image. |
