Maude, yes I think that works better for me. I agree that the sunburst does compete and this revised shot adds far more drama. I'd keep the new one! |

Katherine, this an interesting street photography image in which you have captured an interesting contrast between the man getting his breath back and the other working industriously on his laptop. So, for me that is the story. The composition generally works well. You can do very little about the other guy behind the resting man but if you wanted you could remove the piping that extends down from top left into the man on his laptop . |

Mark, this is certainly a very poignant shot which captures a sense of desperation as well as loneliness. It works particularly well in mono and grain on the window helps add to the mood of the image. The woman's nails are also significant elements of this shot. |

Robin this is a moody shot which captures a sense of place and the isolation of the boat and the dog walker . It is also possible to just make this a shot of the walker and dog as that is where most of the mist is and the fences at the bottom of the bank are also very interesting. |

Great story for this dramatic image Maude. I like the composition especially the way you have balanced the shot with your cowboy the rails, the steam and sun burst. This works well in mono and my only suggestion might be to crop just a little more off the base to bring the cowboy further forward. |

Barbara, I really like this shot. It's title is very appropriate as it is does look as if the horse has decided it wants to be friends with you! I think its sharpness is OK and I think your decision not to crop and to darken the background were good decisions. I enjoyed it. |
