Mark, this a well-taken landscape with plenty of mood and balance. I'm happy with the lack of detail on the island as that is replicated by the land mass on the right. Yes, I think a small crop off the base would help and working on the noise in the sky. |

Kathleen, you have done it again! You really do have a definite style creating images which ordinarily might be unkindly considered a bit of a mess! But we know that you see images where others don't and whilst I am not totally sure what the meaningful connect (if there is one) between the woman on her phone and the somewhat berserk composition of irregular lines in the reflection is, it doesn't really matter. This is clearly one of those images that calls you back almost for no apparent reason. Having said that I'd consider getting rid of the man in the reflection and if you could I'd replace him with a smaller version of the woman on the hone - which although it would be impossible as that should be her back view, that might make the image even more disturbing! |

Mark, a really good portrait of a an interesting character you probably wouldn't want to mess with! Plenty of pin-sharp detail. I might suggest just a slight bit of work on the eyes to lighten them slightly. I enjoyed this. |

Robin, great composite. Has a lot of power and works well. The use of mono really sits the storyline but I'd go with Mark in suggesting that the vignette is a trifle heavy. |

Maude, welcome to the group and for this fantastic image. I too almost thought this was a composite so well have you blended everything. Great composition, the figure is well-placed and the detail you have brought out in the underground ceiling is really impressive. |

Barbara, your image certainly conveys the power of the falls and the mist almost obscuring the buildings behind. Those clouds too are very helpful in breaking up what would have been quite a bland sky. I just wonder if you need quite so much on the left as there is little detail in that part and if you were to crop it there that would emphasise more the mist and spray. |
