Kathleen, this has to be called 'Laid back' even if Motorcycle Man is what it is! A great capture in which the elongated shape of the man reflects perfectly the length of the motor and as you say he was at one with it. This is a documentary piece which says a lot about the man and machine and especially one for 'petrolheads'.
Do we need the white line at the base? Probably as this also gives the impression of where he might be going even if he is on a ferry. There are one or two very bright areas on the bike and his clothing which you might be able to hold back a little. |

Linda, you have post processed this very well. I agree the bottom limb or branch is needed to add balance otherwise it would be far too stark and image. I know you have also cropped from the top but would suggest that you could do that just a bit more than you have as this would still leave enough space above the bird. Great capture. |

Gerard, this is bleak and cold image which captures the snow fall well. I like the fact that it breaks the rules especially where the branches rise up from the middle rather than at the corners. It was good to crop out the extra twigs on the right side. Stark but effective. |

Barbara, this is a lovely shot and well suited to your mono treatment. You did very well not to scare them off! A good crop and vignette make this into a great postcard or period piece. The only suggestion I have is to perhaps remove the shape in the water above the right hand deer as we look at it. I'm not sure if it was a bird or a branch but once seen it does tend to draw the eye whilst the ones on the left provide a helpful border. |
