Tom, yes this is very chic! I like your treatment of this -giving it aa sepia tint and hazy vignette. I'd try to remove the background motoring or street sign if you could and also the man seen next to the lamp shade as once you've seen them, then your eye kind of goes to both and they are perhaps slightly out of keeping with the rest of the mood of the image. The toy doll on the right could also be brought up a little more with some selective burning in. And although it is in keeping with the bicycle, I'd take out the stand it's supported by because without it the bike will still look as if it's standing up OK. |

Kathleen, this is a great image and works extremely well in this spa mono. In fact the colour version has so much less impact. What makes this one for me apart from the strong leading lines made by the shadows is the intrusive arm bottom left. This makes the viewer feel part of the image, as if we too are walking through with this person. There's very little to change for me in this image except perhaps to darken slightly the right hand of the intruding person as this is quite light but don't bring up the checked pattern on the hand too much. |

Denice - yes I see the flying dinosaur too! A lovely image with the majority of the main part very sharp. The back leaf is out of focus but I don't think that matters as this helps create the depth in the image. You haven't titled it but considering how this looks how about calling it something like 'Coming in to land"? |

Linda, this was a great shot to post as it set us quite a challenge. As it is there is nothing I would do to it as it so full of joy and life that it works well without alteration and the mono is perfect for it. But nothing ventured, nothing gained so I have gone the whole hog and completely removed the current background and using PS object selection with a bit of cleaning up have transported these lively ladies to a beach where they have already been jumping up and down - hence the existing footprints. Maybe they were nowhere near a beach but as you can now do quite clean separation of objects in PS it will be possible to put them anywhere! |

Gerard, this is an interesting arrangementof flowers on the host leaf a d i think you have achieved the contrast you were seeking. But i find the mono version somewhat bright and the petals on the flowers on the left look a little blown out. So from the point of view of the competition I would say that the colour version would do better as there the muted colurs on the petals are more apparent. But if you use that I would take out the slate bubbles top right on original two. |

Barbara, this is very imaginative and quite subversive! Looks great being mono and this pesky puzzle unsolved and about to fall and self destruct. I like the diagonal white surface and slight shadows. Linda's tweaks also help. |

Many thanks for your comments. Great that you liked this and for your helpful comments. And yes the second sheep is rather amusing and probably distracting but I cannot do anything about that on this occasion! It looks different from what was actually going on.
