Thanks Linda. That works but I also think it takes away a certain moodiness of this shot. |

Kathleen, is the woman on her phone? If so, this is an extra contrast with the ancient tree. But I see the original has more of one of her feet and I find the mono version cuts that off which makes that leg look amputated! The lines are intriguing and possibly the main part of the image. If you wanted to be drastic you could lose the tree altogether and just keep the woman and the lines and call the image 'Lines of Communication' |

Michael, this is a very peaceful and beautiful image. I like the idea of a tighter crop but I'd also suggest you might consider flipping this - see attached. That way I find it easier to read the image from left to right with the road now on the left winding up and across and out of the top right of the image. But some will prefer it as you originally have it. |

Linda, this image has real punch and the mono transformation works really well far better than the colour.. This is an important record shot with a real message and a true indicator of the power of the tornado. The composition is just right. A great shot, well done.

Gerard, this is an interesting transformation and really does make the daffodil into something like a man-made creation. I too would crop it from the bottom and extend the canvas on the right somewhat. You could then play with the possibility of creating a ray of light coming from the 'beacon' but maybe that's taking the title a bit too far! |

Barbara, once again your mono flower transformation has worked really well. I also like your title which has quite a comic twist to it! The colour version is quite overpowering yellow but the mono transformation creates a gentle and delicate image. I think Gerard's canvas extension works well so that there is no petal cut off. I also like the off-centre composition and the black background also works very well. |

Gerard, many thanks for your comments. I have to say that I have recently found the Lightroom presets and sliders very useful for getting that kind of depth. The presets in Lightroom are also very useful! |
