But here it is pretty obvious that doing that has emphasised the shape,form and texture of the plant. I particularly like the angle of the shot and I wouldn't up the contrast. 99 Jan 23 Comment Linda,this is a great image which i like a lot. The lighting helps set this off especially the side light on his beard. A very god crop to remove the cup. I think you revised version does make the cigarette too white and prominent. Jan 7th

As now you have the black background,the black bottle and the white band and flowers all of which are aesthetically pleasing. I like it as it is.		 Jan 7th
99 Jan 23 Comment Barbara, seeing the original helps appreciate the full beauty of this tree which is magnificent. The mono version certainly changes the whole feel of it and i agree with Gerard about its spooky feel. I like the vignette as that adds to that mood. The central trunk of the tree is perhaps a little dark. Jan 7th
