Many thanks Ian for your kind comments. Yes, Ronnie Wood does spring to mind when you see this but this young man has some way to go to achieve Ronnie Wood's lived in face! I have nearly completed all of the major cards of each suit - some work better than others and may show one or two on other occasions. Thanks for your support.

Joe, many thanks. On this occasion as the Morris men were all geared up in Black and White - a colour version of them would be exactly the same! See my comment to Beverly above about how far I have got with other cards. Some work well - others not so much! |

any thanks Stephen. I'm not a great fan of Morris Dancing but can't resist photographing them. But I have to say, they are very difficult to photograph. Usually best to go in close as I did here. |

Thanks Beverly. Don't worry, doing the whole pack is perhaps somewhat crazy - but you never know! I have so far done all four suits - King Queen Jack Ace and two Jolers. They are kind of random images loosely chosen to fit the red/black suits but have been fun to do. |

Great portrait with good eye contact. I think portrait can mean more than head and shoulders. This one provides the viewer with plenty to look at in that their clothing all adds to what we can understand about them. Sure, it's very static but I don't mind that. Good lighting. Great beard on the cowboy which might be a trifle burnt out - maybe you could pull it back a little? Would like to see more of your images from this session. |

What a thing to do!! Surely plenty get injured doing this? But then you can get injured playing many sports - though I doubt if this counts as one. I too hope you had other shots because this one is far too blurred all over. If you haven't, what I would suggest is that you go for far more blur of the bull and man - blur the background more and make a feature of the colours of man and bull - but keep the bull's horns as sharp as you can get them. Also, darken the yellow ground and crop in from the left. There still could be a finished and worthwhile image in this. |

I like the sweep of this image. I would agree on a contrast adjustment and also like the idea of duplicating this by 'reflecting' it as this adds drama. Again another more than satisfactory image from a phone camera. If you keep it as a single image, I would remove the green 'exit? lights on the left wall which are intrusive. Looks like a fantastic tapestry |

A nicely framed composition. Yes, the fence is not so good but I can avoid looking at it by concentrating on the fantastic autumn foliage. Very peaceful - which is appropriate. |

That's some pattern. I guess this made you extra late! This is almost like a glacier on your windscreen. Great shot from your phone camera - often almost as good as a standard camera these days. The only thing I'd change with this - if you really want to - is the light blob top left - but I wouldn't crop it out as that would ruin the overall effect of the fern-like ice pattern further over. How long did it take you take into your car?! |

I enjoyed looking at this image and the mono suits it very well. I would agree about the small light on the right - that could easily come out and the overall effect would be improved. I wouldn't crop it out - just clone it out and so retain the width of the shot. The 'letterbox' style also suits it. |
