Sorry, I meant left as I was looking at it. It's not a great problem until you keep looking at it. Her eyes draw you in so maybe leave well alone. |

Thanks Sheldon. It's taken me a long time to nearly master creating masks in Photoshop. I mainly use its Select and mask feature which eventually works pretty well even with free-flying hair. And yes, the horizon does seem a little out of kilter but perhaps that's because they were standing on a sloping hill and the smoke tends to emphasise that slope. Sometimes horizons are not level - it's just a question of how much you want to alter reality and I've already done plenty of that in this image already!

Sheldon, I like the expanse of background. The bird is very well caught and the dark foliage makes this a very dramatic shot. If you were going to crop It I would try turning it into a letterbox format and taking some off the bottom to just below the overhanging branch on the left. |

I had to laugh at your comment 'nothing much of note'. What with such wonderful scenery?! I know you were referring to this image photographically - and in that case maybe I can throw in a couple of real, quibbles. What distracts me in this image are the two highlighted stick branches on the left hand foreground tree. And probably there is a little too much of the distant view on the left hand side. But really these are quibbles. You can almost hear the silence in this image. |

Great shot. I agree with Sheldon about the left shoulder. Other than that I wouldn't change anything. Great texture in the hair, scarf and hat. A beautiful image. |

Interesting image but lacks 'impact'! As a record shot this is fine but it would be tempting to play around with some Photoshop filters and add some fake blur to the cars.Looks like this piece of museum display has been around for a long time. |
