Is this just another bird on or near a stick?! Undoubtedly not. This is brilliantly caught, composed and exposed. This shows the bird in action and the shape of its bill which counterpoints the curve of the flower's stem is fantastic. Great.
How many shots to get this one?! |

The beauty of this flower is not all about its colour so I enjoyed your mono version which conveyed its structure and shape - particularly the central part - for the life of me I can't remember the correct description! Yes, it is a fraction sort but the centre is sharp enough for me and the rest adds to emphasise the delicacy of this bloom. Good to see something different. |

Great shot and yes this is truly a hypnotic country in this light. Personally, I think you have too much of it at the top and if you want to retain the white house near top left then I'd crop it down to just above that. I'd also crop it in from the right to take out that seam running north/south. I think that would make a far more compact image and yet still retain the breadth of this very interesting landscape. |

This certainly draws you in! Good definition and exposure through the bridge and the view at the end. The filter certainly adds a dramatic effect to this image but for some this might be too graphic - horses for courses I guess. The fisheye curve is fascinating. |

These poppies have been there some time and that adds to the poignancy of the image. I don't mind the angle of the tree but would crop it on the left closer to the first intact cross. It does look a little soft but again that doesn't bother me as it sort of adds to the ageing of the whole story. You might try this as a mono retaining the poppies' original colour. |
