Often opinion is divided on how you photograph water. Some just can't stand water that looks like cotton wool but it all depends on the effect you want. I think you need to ask does this show the force of the water and I think this does. This way I guess you see the various directions of the water. As you say a difficult perspective to take and I think the main log in the river does lead you up to the falls. An impressive scene well captured. Don't mind the light on the rock. Were you on the opposite bank for this or on a rock in the river? |

Well captured as I guess these creatures can move pretty quickly. Always difficult to photograph animals that are black and white as you generally lose something in the white when trying to get the exposure right for the black but you have managed it well here. The frizzy hair is great. I don't mind the intrusive leaf |

Wow - this is really in your face! Extremely sharp and the colours are so vibrant. Please forgive me for asking if they are really this bright as I have not seen this flower before. Set off extremely well against the dark leaves. |

Very unusual. Presumably those on the lower level just jump! The ladders lead you up and own the image and the brick work is a great backdrop. Well done on the award. |

Interesting shapes and colours. I wonder if the contents of those bottles were as described or did the living museum refill them with something less corrosive?!
Topaz filters often bring an unnatural look to an image if not handled carefully but here I'd say you'd got it right to give an old-worldy feel to the image and turn the shot almost into a painting. |
