These are not seen around my parts so it was great to see this and well done for capturing it on its rare appearance. Good depth of field as it makes the bird stand out well. I hope you didn't have to stay the whole four days in your hideout - but maybe you did. I know how keen and patient bird photographers are which is probably why I am not one! |

Great capture especially as the two are looking in different directions. Well separated from the background. Just wondered if it is a little over-sharpened. How far away were you to get this shot? |

I have a magnolia in my garden but it doesn't have colours as rich as this. Very well caught and the bug is a bonus. You have captured the texture of the petals very well and the raindrops also help give a very natural feel to this image. And I agree about fading flowers having more intrigue. |

The filter on this suits this subject perfectly. There are a whole lot of stories in this shot and it's amazing how nature can still re-assert itself under that drum. Would like to see the model shots in this background as a contrast but maybe those are to come? |
