Many thanks. Yes my Mum has a great story to tell - she is now actually 104 - evacuated from Guernsey in the Second World War when the Germans invaded. She's still pretty active and can talk forever!
I have been trying to get a photograph that told her story and this was taken in her residential home where she is surrounded by her things and photographs of the family. Her eyesight is poor so getting a shot where is looking straight into the lens was quite difficult. Of all my pictures this is the one I value the most. |

Thanks for all your comments. Yes, it was a fun shot to take but I was seriously worried about the one pawing the ground and wondered if it might charge but then remembered that these are quite docile animals.
But what concerns me most and what I didn't notice was the fifth cow in the group seems to have grown another set of legs! Time for the cloning tool I think. |

Works very well in mono. A dramatic shot. Standing on that bridge would not be for me! |

An interesting subject with plenty of character. I think the lack of eye contact is a shame. I would also try to lighten the eye area somewhat. The beard is great! |

Very surreal. You can lost in this shot and find many different things to look at. Intriguing. |

Great shot - good texture of both metal and cracked pint surface. Certainly something of nothing but it takes a good eye to see it. |

John, this is certainly different. Nice and sharp. Can't match Dick's punning - just not buzzing with ideas on that front. |
