Okay, thanks, Marla! I imagine you've seen my other replies...I'll definitely crop down, lighted a bit, but the hot spots have to stay if I'm going to stay true to documentary photographs. |

Good point, Darin, and now that you mention that idea, I think it would have been better too. I'll try that next time....if there's a next. =) |

Unfortunately, the rule of photojounalism do not allow me to clone anything. Those bright spots bother me too... |

Thanks, Audrey. I do prefer the lighter version as well as the crop. Definite improvement. Thank you! |

Audrey's comments are exactly my impression...I'm quite confused by it. It's certainly a beautiful scene, it's just the top have that has a strange dimension to it...almost like an Escher painting. |

Eric's first two points are exactly the ones I thought as well, along with the others on the placement of the swan. Cropping isn't an option, so you're left with the swan where it is unless you wanted to try some advanced photoshop work. But you certainly made a beautiful photograph here. |

I had the same reaction about the bright colors. Quite amazing that it's so colorful at night. I like Audrey's distortion updates and agree with Marla that it feels a bit cramped compared to the daytime photograph. But it's a nice capture, especially considering the challenges you faced. |

Goodness, I wish I could say I didn't know what that bug was....they are EVERYWHERE where I am. Blech. I've learned to NEVER smash them...I take a wad of toilet paper and throw them in the toilet. Waste of water, I know, but smashing them releases a pungent odor just like a skunk. It's terrible. I digress....I don't have anything else to add to the others comments. Except one - you do have a way of finding interesting things to photograph! Thanks for your point-of-view - it's nice! =) |

Pretty scene! Same as the others. The trees at the top aren't needed, IMO. Do you have a tri-pod that can hold your iPhone?? If you had the ability to put the phone on a tri-pod and use a 4-5 second shutter speed, the water would have softened up and the reflections of the trees in the water would have stood out more. Maybe a project for the future! Nice choice to use B&W too. |
