25 Nov 18 Reply Thanks, Ruth. I'm trying to make images of my kids that are a bit 'different' than typically seen of kids. It keeps it fun for both of us! Nov 24th
25 Nov 18 Reply Hi Eric - agreed....I got the hands in closer focus than the face. Tough getting is spot on while holding the camera above my head - hah! I'll def try your suggestions. I think that will help. Thank you for the feedback! Nov 24th
25 Nov 18 Reply Thanks, Darin! I like my images to break the rules a bit. :) Nov 15th
25 Nov 18 Reply Hi Marla, thanks! It was definitely fun. Iprobably could lighten the face a bit more since I did a bit already. I'll give it a try next time I'm editing others. Nov 15th
25 Nov 18 Comment Agreed that taking the flash off camera would definitely help with glare. Just keep in mind the "angle in=angle out" rule. The further off access you have the light, the less likely it is to show a glare. Also, check this YouTube video out, very informative: https://youtu.be/AeVbJepHXlk

Your choice of crop from the original is spot on, IMO, and the lighting is done especially well despite the glare. Her face has dimension and the lighting is flattering. Very nice portrait.

25 Nov 18 Comment I was not familiar either and, after googling it, I agree with Vincent - I don't see any other images like yours! For that, nice job. The streaks of the moving clouds add a nice background without detracting from the subject. And the choice of B&W is a good one, IMO. I hope you will let us know how the competition goes! Nov 15th
25 Nov 18 Comment Similar comments as the others have had. I would like to reiterate the "good job" on getting the horse with all four legs off the ground! My only addition to the comments from the others is that the trainer's head seems to be merging with something in the background. Have you tried removing it in PS? Nov 15th
25 Nov 18 Comment Nice find! The subject is strong and definitely makes for an interesting image.Add me to the list of people who have a preference for the original. Nov 15th
25 Nov 18 Comment The composition and subject are very strong. Agree with the others that the colors are amazing. I also concur with Marla's suggestion that the image falls a bit flat and the suggestions she made improve the image. My eyes are also drawn to the blue spot of sky at the top slightly left of center. I assume that is not intended, so I would add a suggestion to crop down a bit. I think the HDR processing did something strange to portions of the image, as there are parts that look like they are warped or blurred (or something off) vertically. It is a stunning view though! 25 Nov 18 Comment I like where you're going with this image, but agree with the others that the tractor's happy face isn't immediately apparent. Getting in real close with a wider angle lens and cropping significantly might help get the point across as to what you're trying to capture with the image. Nov 15th
