Nice colors. I like the pop of the little blue flowers and the receding wall that they cover. I think a crop would make this image stronger. See attached for my take on a crop that still shows the bush in its surroundings while removing the distracting tree trunk and fence line. |

Great shot!! What a capture! The shutter speed and aperture look like they were perfect for getting the ostrich sharp with a blurry background. I like the composition as is. While cropping the legs at a joint is usually avoided, I think it works fine here - helps the viewer to focus on the bird's tack-sharp eyes. Nice work, Marla! |

Eric's comments are exactly mine....love the placement of the tree, that there is some detail in the people, and wish the balloon was illuminated. It is a beautifully composed image and quite striking. Nice work! |
