Group Round C/R Comment Date Image
72 Dec 17 Reply That is correct for PSA competition in the Nature division. If you are considering competition for your fine shot, IMO, it would do better in Pictorial w/cloning than in Nature w/o cloning.

I appreciate that Nature/Wildlife photography should not come down to PP wizardry but I would like to see the Nature Division catch up with technology.

72 Dec 17 Reply Thanks Abhijeet. Good point. This picture would not be eligible for a PSA Nature Division competition where only the most basic PP adjustments are permitted. Dec 26th
72 Dec 17 Comment I like the action on this, Isaac. It's not easy to get these in a group like that. Dec 11th
72 Dec 17 Comment Neat shot, Ken. My 1st thought was pull up the shadows which Isaac addressed in his comment and PP. BIF are difficult and further complicated by our cameras many autofocus options. In general, the less focus points you can manage the better. Try to get those points at least on the breast of the bird. Because your camera can handle higher iso easily, I'd suggest a faster shutter speed. I follow Fred Miranda.com which has an excellent N/W forum. There are some excellent bird photographers there who often offer useful info. I've noted that some of the sport photographers try to stay at least at 1/2000. Dec 11th
72 Dec 17 Comment Nice work on these, Abhijeet. You've captured three very nice wing positions. Good choice on the crop. I think it would be easy and worthwhile to clone out the excrement. Dec 11th
